Demo Fest is a music festival held in Banja Luka, aimed at promoting demo bands from the former Yugoslav region. In addition to the competition, the festival features concerts by well-known artists, educational workshops, and panel discussions, making it an important gathering place for music enthusiasts and professionals.

The initial idea was to implement cheerful colours in the work, in order to symbolize the diversity of the performers at the festival. Also, I wanted to awaken a good mood in the spectators and convey to them the positive energy of the festival. I used vivid colours but with low saturation, so that they would not be too offensive, and in addition, the hippie motif dominates in the background, which encourages that kind of festival experience.

On the other hand, there are a lot of alternative bands performing at the festival, and I wanted to make a poster that would symbolize them. I used photos of different musicians, and tried to achieve that alternative, grunge look by using darker colours and different blending modes. As a final detail, I used torn pieces of paper that symbolize the imperfection reflected in that musical genre.
